private job vs government job

Image
The below I got it from Quora. This might help you in deciding between a government job and a good-paying private job! Should I leave my 12 lacs package TCS job for an Assistant Station Master at Indian Railway? Answered by someone who is serving Indian railways for the last 18 years.  The post-ASM is a Group C   post and it's starting salary from a basic pay of Rs 35400   in level 6 ,  in 7th CPC. The total remuneration is as per   the   posting station. I upload a pic of the scale of 7th CPC for your clear understanding. In an economical view it much less than your current salary. Now  job security.  Yes ,  job security is 100% unless you did a fatal mistake in your duty. As a job ASM is a very responsible job. The train running mostly depends on ASM. If they do any mistake it will turn towards an accident. Now the  job . It is much less innovative than your current job. The railway makes a system an...

Why engineers are not getting job?

The below I got it from somewhere and wanted to share with you for you to not make the same mistake what he did in the below post. Why Mechanical Engineers are not getting a job in the core field? Replace the below Mechanical Engg with any Engg, the situation is same everywhere! I have done B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and from the last 1 and a half years I m not getting a job in my core field. There are a lot of factors to take into consideration why I m not able to get a job? The first thing that comes in mind is that there are many engineers around you they are graduated from IIT, NIT, Tier 1 and Tier 2 colleges. They are going to take your place, in spite of the factor you are equally skillful and knowledgeable. Second: Companies with lower profile had better options. It is better to hire a diploma holder who has some practical knowledge as well as other skills rather than hiring a B.tech graduate. Third: Companies are looking for people that can take all the resp...

What is the life of civil engineers as a site engineer?

What is the life of civil engineers as a site engineer? (Answer from Quora - by a site engineer) First a little correction, after some time working as a site engineer you no longer remain a civil engineer but become a construction engineer. I am saying this because you will find people from many different branches like mechanical, electrical etc. also doing the same work as you and moreover people with Diploma, people with ITI,and even people with no formal education but just experience in the field does the same work as a civil engineer some says it's the beauty of this line, I say it's just the incapability of the field to provide justice to one's credentials. Now coming specifically on civil engineer, let me give you a jist of what you will be doing on site, forget your technical knowledge (absolutely no use), bring on your skills to shout on the people with as derogatory remarks as you can, bring on the ability to endure these types of remar...
