CVL218 Revised presentation schedule and guidelines

Revised Schedule

The presentation shall be evaluated based upon the following criteria, guidelines.

  • All presentation can have a few slides on the basic introduction of the topic
  • The presentation shall be limited to the construction methodologies, materials used, new techniques and any other important parameters related to construction and materials
  • Time allotted for the group is 15-20 minutes. All the members shall be allowed to speak in that duration only.
  • Question answers may be in-between the presentation or after the completion
  • The presentation shall be evaluated based upon,
    • Content (Individual)
    • Understanding of the content presented (Individual)
    • Innovation in the presentation of the topic (Individual)
    • Team-work (Overall for the team)
    • Overall flow and impact of the presentation (Overall for the team)
  • The presentation should suit the level at which it is being presented. The depth and content should be that of a 2nd year Engg student and not that of a school project
  • Merely reading from the slides and speaking the contents of the slide shall not attract any marks
  • You are free to use any other method of presentation (apart from PPT) if you think it would enhance your presentation. You are also free to have a mix of several kinds of presentations.

BM Presentation Groups and Topics

As was discussed in the class, you all have to make a presentation to me, in the class (date and time to be informed),  on a topic selected by you, in a group of maximum 4 and minimum 3. You also need to get the topic approved by me. You are supposed to submit me the names the group member and the topic of your presentation by next week, i.e., 24th Jan, 2020.
